Safety arrangements of railway lines during the construction of a stadium in the immediate vicinity
When construction work was undertaken on the Sankt Jakobs stadium in Basel close to the railway lines, the client feared there would be subsidence. In order to avoid any disruption to traffic on this major railway line, the client called upon OSMOS to monitor the railway lines and detect any subsidence. The results of the OSMOS instrumentation assured the client that the work on adjoining structures had no effect on the geotechnical properties of the sites monitored. OSMOS enabled the client to monitor the behaviour of the railway lines without any work requiring any interruption of traffic.
