Description:

Safety arrangements

Built in 1960, the Joliot Curie school has certain external factors that may reveal that the structure has deteriorated. As the extent of the damage was unknown, in particular in the foundations, an in-depth study was envisaged over the medium term with a view to major strengthening. In order to assess the need for major work whilst ensuring the total safety of the users the client wished to monitor the damage using Optical Strands, inside and outside the school. Whilst ensuring that lessons continued as before, the client discovered that the damage had not progressed and thus demonstrate that the school had been stabilised.
