Atypical structures

Atypical structures are the result of ambition, architectural audacity and technical challenges. These structures are subject to unique constraints that must be taken into consideration from the design phase. Despite the precautions of the architects and engineers, the long-term behaviour of atypical structures is in part unknown.

OSMOS encourages architectural audacity by allowing non-intrusive monitoring in real-time to validate that the structure is behaving as it should

  • Diagnosis of the overall stability of the building
  • Monitoring work on local and adjoining structures
  • Monitoring climate and seismic effects
  • Monitoring the foundations
  • Monitoring accidental effects - fires, floods
